RRLC member libraries and library systems. The training program is open to people in all types of libraries. Most classes are offered free of charge and are held at RRLC’sTraining Center. The training includes a wide variety of topics, both hands-on applications training and “soft skills” like library management and financial planning. There are informal classes in our Monday Night @ the Council "pizza" series, and some programs are offered in alternative late afternoon time slots so members can attend training on their way home from work. For those workshops that you are unable to attend, you can often download handouts (click on program handouts under the Learning tab on our homepage).

Visit the RRLC Events web calendar (click on “Learning” on the menu at the top of this page, then select "RRLC Events") or click on Continuing Education, “Workshop Listing” to link to a complete description of the program.

RRLC’s website features individual accounts for our members. This enables you to log in to an area of the website where you can register for classes and programs, look at a schedule of your upcoming classes, and see a complete list of classes you have taken. You will need a username and password to access this part of the website. RRLC Staff are happy to help and can be reached at rrlc@rrlc.org or by phone at 585-223-7570.

RRLC Training Program Attendance Policy and Fee Table

The ability to attend workshops and training programs at little or no cost is one of the many benefits of RRLC membership. RRLC will accept registrations from non-members on a space-available basis. Non-members are defined as librarians and library staff from outside the RRLC region. Non-members are asked to pay a modest fee. Payment may be made by check, purchase order or credit card and is due at the time of registration. Credit cards are accepted at RRLC's online payment center; call (585) 223-7570 for details.

RRLC workshops and training programs are not open to the public. Non-librarians may attend a workshop along with an RRLC member librarian, with prior permission from RRLC. Guests must attend with a member librarian with whom they are involved in a project. The non-librarian should be a person with whom the RRLC member already has a collaborative relationship or a shared project. The colleague attends as a guest but must register for the workshop and pay any applicable fee (at the member rate). We ask that you let us know in advance if a colleague will be registering for a workshop. There must be space available in the workshop, and library staff will have priority. Guests will be notified two weeks in advance of the workshop about whether we have been able to accept their registration.
